Here is another one folks. The story is of Uncle or Grandfather Rial, which side you are on. I am on both. As far as we know he had slaves. Before the War Between the States, he set them free. Well, they were elated and We is free and we is going NOrth and get us good jobs. In a month or two they were back and moved into their cabins again. They told Uncle Rial that the Yankees did not want them and would not hire them. So, they stayed in their cabins until they died or went off. They would not work because they were free, so Uncle Rial kept them until they all did what they wanted to do. Uncle Rial was a good soul, I have a picture of him and he is very kind looking.
Thanks for listening. Marian
