LONACONING - Hugh Speir Connor, 85, Douglas Avenue, died Monday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late Aaron and Minnie (Speir) Connor. He was a retired coal miner. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marion Connor Moore, this city, and one grandchild, Francis Hugh Moore, with the Air Force at Robbins, Ga. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 3 p.m. Rev. Chalmers Goshorn will officiate and interment will follow in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Cumberland News, August 31, 1977
