in a fall in the vicinity of Prospect Square, authorities said. William J. Speir, Jr., 118 Winton Place, was taken to Sacred Heart

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. — William "Bill" Speir, 58, died suddenly Friday morning, Oct. 15, 2010 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Shirley A. Speir. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wanda Harrell Speir; his daughters, Chana Speir of Orlando and Angie Moore Stone of Atlanta, Ga.; grandsons, Owen and Bennett Stone. He is also survived by his brother, Ron and wife Patricia Speir of Gaithersburg. Bill was an involved and loving father known in the community for his softball coaching career. He was employed by the City of Cocoa Beach for 27 years. Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Georgianna United Methodist Church, Merritt Island, Fla.
