He saw combat while flying 25 bombing missions from bases in Italy. They flew bombing missions into Germany including bombing raids on Berlin. Carl being small in stature was made a belly gunner. He had to lower himself down into the bubble at times without a parachute. From his gun position in the plastic bubble in the belly of a B17 Flying Fortress, he had an unbelievable view of WWII.

In 1952, when she was 16 yrs. old, she lost her wallet in the old movie house in Canton, Ms.. Thirty-nine yrs. later, a stranger returned it to her in Ft. Walton, Beach, FL. The movie house was damaged by a twister in 1976, and in the late 1980's during a reconstruction project, the wallet was found stuck in a crack in the paneling by Nolan Grogan on the second floor balcony. She was identified from her picture and name in the wallet.

Lilly Marie is a registered nurse at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Ms.. She has a B.S. degree in Nursing.

Was killed 12/13/1899 by Pearl and Horace Wallace with Pearl going to the Pen for 99 years and Horace for 20 years.(That information came from a copy of a letter that Isable's brother Elisha V. Lewis wrote his Sister on 5/23/1900.)

Per Letter from Elisha V. Lewis, William "Bill" Chisholm was shot and killed by Horace and Pearl Wallace at about midnight "I think they should have been hanged as they went to his ho m e at the hour of midnite cauled him out of his bed and out to his gate and shot him. He liv e d about one hour this was a trying thing to have to stand..."
Evidently, Horace and Pearl Wallace were siblings.
