Charles Claudell Lee served in the U.S. Army during WW II and in the Korean Conflict, he retired from the Army in 1969, retired from the retail sales business in 1986. He and his wife Nellie Marie Ryals Lee ran a flea market business from 1985 through 1999. His current residence (September 3, 2000) is at 1019 Karlene Dr., Harlem, Ga.. Charles C. Lee Sr.

Charles C. Lee Sr., 80, of Harlem, Ga., died Oct. 14, 2001, at Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, Ga.
Services were 11 a.m. today at Starling Funeral Home in Harlem, with an Army chaplain officiating. Burial was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Mr. Lee was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a member of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Ryalas Lee of Harlem; a son, Charles C. Lee Jr. of Seminole, Fla.; two daughters, Agnes Russell of Warner Robins, Ga., and Mary Mutch of Augusta; a sister, Geneva Sullivan of Magnolia; six grandchildren, Eric Stapleton, Tracy Ray, Katy Thorn, Andy Lee, and Kimberly and Michele Mutch; and three great-grandchildren, Jake Stapleton, Dalton Ray and McKenzie Ray.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 145447, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45250-5447.

Lee, a resident of Magnolia, died Dec. 20, 1998, in a Pike County auto accident.
He was a carpenter and a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army.
He was born Aug. 16, 1910, at Walthall County, son of the late Charles Needham and Lottie Myers Lee.
Lee is survived by his long-time companion, Marie Frey of Magnolia; a son, Jimmy Smith of Tennessee; a brother, Charles C. Lee of Harlem, Ga.; and a sister, Geneva Sullivan of Kentwood, La.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral services for Beatrice "Bea" Mae Graves, 78, were Nov. 2, 1997, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Roberts and Rev. Don Fontenot officiating.
She died Oct. 31, 1997 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Graves was housewife.
She was born May 19, 1919, at Tylertown, daughter of the late Offie Benjamin and Mary Jane Lee Simmons. She married David Graves Sr., who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, A. J. and Delores Boyd of Thibodaux, La. and David "Crock" and Linda Graves; a daughter and son-in-law, Jessie Mary and Grover Burnette of Baton Rouge, La.; four brothers, T. J. Simmons of Jayess, Offie B. Simmons of Chalmette, La., Elmer Simmons of Baker, La., and Robert Simmons; two sisters, Ruby Dupre of Hessmer, La., and Lovie Pigott; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Thurl Burnette, Tommy Simmons, Sammy Simmons, Dudley Dillon, Duane Dillon and Chuck Landry.
Honorary pallbearers were Wayne McGraw, Jeremy McCraw, Doye Graves, Jackie Simmons, Wayne Tagdiarno and Joey Samson.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral services for Jessie Reed Simmons, 65, were held April 4, 1992, at Hartman-Hughes Chapel with Rev. David Chambers and Rev. Douglas Lee officiating.
He died April 2, 1992, at Baptist Hospital, Jackson.
He was a retired presser at Haspel, Inc.
He was born April 29, 1926, in Walthall County, son of Offie Simmons and Mary Jane Lee Simmons. He married Ada Laura Rundels Simmons who preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, Jackey Simmons of Brookhaven; three daughters, Delane Falvey of Brookhaven, Sarah Nell Shepard of Gulfport, Diane Duncan; three brothers, Elmer Simmons of Baton Rouge, Offie Simmons of Chalmette, La., T. J. Simmons; three sisters, Ruby Dupre of Hesmer, La., Beatrice Graves and Lovie Pigott; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were David Graves Jr., J. W. Whiddon, Billy Simmons, Wilburn Freeman, Dudley Dillon and Wayne Duncan.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pearla J. Dunaway, 49 year-old resident of the Mesa Community, died Tuesday morning after an illness of several weeks.
Funeral services were conducted from the residence at ten o'clock Wednesday morning with Rev. V. C. Walker officiating. Interment was in the Tylertown cemetery.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son, J. C. Dunaway, and four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Smith, Mrs. Abner Smith, Mrs. Hiriam Brumfield and Mrs. Jaunita Herring.
