Carroll Lamar Edward [Male] b. 1910 - d. 6 MAY 2002 Gulfport, Ms.

The Sun Herald 05/09/2002 I Obituaries Page 5 of 15 .GULF PORT -Lamar Edward Carroll, 92, died May 6, 2002, in Gulfport. Mr. Carroll, a native of Pearl River County and a resident of Harrison County for 61 years, was owner and operator of Carroll's Auto Parts since 1946. He was a member of White Chapel Church of God and was past president of the Harrison County Singing Convention for 20 years. He conducted a gospel radio program on WROA in Gulf port for 27 years and was an avid promoter of gospel music. He was a member of the Lyman School Board and the Rebel Long Line Auto Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lucy Carroll; two brothers, Jessie Carroll and Willie Carroll; one sister, Lottie Dentro; one granddaughter, Peggy Ann Ladner; and one great-grandson, Christian Bertinato. Survivors include his wife, Myrtice Brady Carroll; two daughters, Maxine Holcomb and Janice Faye ladner; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, U.S. 49 North in Gulf POrt. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery in Carriere. The family prefers donations to Gospel Singers of America, 109 Thampson Drive. Lana Beach. Ms. 39560.
