Funeral services were held at the Rock Hill Baptist church for N.B. Cagle, Sumrall, Route 1, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Zell Broome, of Sumrall. The Rev Joe Nobles officiated, with interment following in the Rock Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Cagle is survived by three sons, O.I. and V.C. Cagle of Hattiesburg and J.L. Cagle of West Point; four daughters, Mrs. A.E. Rushing, Foxworth; Mrs. Broome and Mrs. J.P. Aultman of Sumrall and Mrs. S.E.L. Wetherford, Petal; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Hulett Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Page from Bible found in Lela Cagle Weatherford papers provided birthdates. Census records indicate that Della was born April 1872. Bible record states Feb. 19, 1866. We are using the Bible date.
List also includes two children, Sylvester and Lerline. They are not listed on census records. Both were born prior to the 1910 census and probably died before then.

Sumrall, June 24, 1936 -- Mrs. N. B. Cagle, about 70, died this morning at her home near here.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but the burial probably will be on Thursday. The Rev. Mr. Stuart, pastor of the Rock Hill Baptist church, will conduct the rites.
Mrs, Cagle is survived by: Her husband, N. B. Cagle; three sons, V. C. of University, O. I. of Hattiesburg and J. L. of West Point; and four daughters, Mrs. A. E. Rushing of Foxworth, Mrs. Zell Broom and Mrs. J. W. Aultman of Sumrall and Mrs. S. E. L. Weatherford of Petal.
(Note: If Della was 70 years old (see obit) when she died then her birth year would be 1866, Bible date.)
