Jarrell John [Male] b. 30 MAR 1845 Hancock County, Ms. - d. 28 JUN 1909 Pearl River County, Ms.

John enlisted as a private in the Confederate Army Company, 38th Mississippi Volunteers, 11/12/1863, in Enterprise, Ms. He enlisted with his brother in law John Pocket Spiers and his uncle Rodney Clark Jarrell.

In the 1900 census John was listed as a55 yr old farmer living in beat 5, Alliance Hall District, with wife Elizabeth age 50, married 32 yrs, having 12 children with 11 living. Four children were living at home.

In the 1900 census Dennis was listed as a 51 yr old farmer living in beat 5, Alliance Hall district with wife Virginia age 43, married 28 yrs with 9 children. 7 children were living at home at the time, including 23 yr old son James listed as a salesman.

In the 1920 census Dennis is listed as a 71 yr old general merchant living in beat 4 with wife Virginia age 63. They had 2 boarders at the time, one was Walter Davis age 35.
