FORTINBERRY, FRANCES BRUMFIELD A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 8:10 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2002, at Summit Hospital. She was 80 and a native of Tylertown, Miss. Visiting at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, Tylertown, from 9 a.m. Thursday until religious service at 1 p.m. Interment in Rushing Cemetery, Tylertown. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Dale and Hope Brumfield, Denham Springs, and Tommy Roy and Norma Brumfield, Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Juanita Herring and spouse Ernest, Baker; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Percy D. Fortinberry; a son, Jesse Lynn Brumfield; a grandson, James Allen Brumfield; a brother and two sisters. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., in charge of arrangements.

Frances Fortinberry
Frances Fortinberry, 80, of Baton Rouge, La., died there May 13, 2002, at Summit Hospital.
Visitation is 9 a.m. Thursday at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown until services there at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Rushing Cemetery.
Mrs. Fortinberry was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Fortinberry; one son, Jesse Lynn Brumfield; a grandson, James Allen Brumfield; one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Jimmy Dale and Hope Brumfield of Denham Springs, La., and Tommy Roy and Norma Brumfield of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister and her husband, Juanita and Ernest Herring of Baker, La.; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Brumfield rites said
Funeral services for Master Sergeant Jesse Lynn Brumfield, 39, were held Sunday at Mesa Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Murphy officiating.
He died March 4 at England AFB Hospital in Alexandria, La., of an apparent heart attack.
Brumfield was born Feb 15, 1937, at Tylertown, son of Hiram B. and Mary Francis Dunaway Brumfield. He married Nancy Carol Yarborough, who survives.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE one daughter, Mrs. Mary F. Boyd, McComb; four sons, Jesse L. Brumfield Jr., William B. Brumfield, Jeffery W. Brumfield, Jason N. Brumfield, all of Alexandria, La; two brothers, Jimmy D. Brumfield, Baton Rouge, and Tommy R. Brumfield of U. S. Navy, Calif.; mother, Mrs. Francis D. Fortenberry of Baton Rouge.
Sgt. Brumfield served 19 years in the Army in Germany, Korea and Vietnam and many stations throughout the United States. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Pallbearers were an Army detail from Ft. Rucker, Ala.
Honorary pallbearers were Capt. Robert Gill, David Crawford, Elie Boudreaux, John Gentry, John Rollins, Willie Burnett, Kenny Hughes and Wesley Johnson.
Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Capps Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
