Last Rites Held For Mrs. Julia Rushing Lee
Funeral services were held this past Tuesday for Mrs. Julia C. Rushing Lee, wife of W. Alex Lee. Death came to Mrs. Lee at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Born September 4, 1882, Mrs. Lee was native of Pike County and the daughter of the late Jonas L. and Angelina Smith Rushing.
Services were conducted from the Ginn Funeral Home Chapel by Reverends V. C. Walker, Edgar Glover and R. B. Johnson. Interment was in the Rushing cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Virgil Lang, Louis Lang, Austin Stogner, Otis Rushing, Jewell Breeland and Hilton Rushing.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lee is survived by seven children; Dewitt, Cullen, Bilbo, Floyd, Mrs. Ora Nell Holliday of all Tylertown, Mrs. Mamie Swan, Osyka and Mrs. Carrie Greer of Ruth, Ms. Two sisters, Mrs. Cleveland Lee, McComb, and Mrs. Robert Davis, McComb, and 20 grandchildren.

Services for W. Dewitt Lee, 62, native of Walthall County, were to be held at 2 p.m. today from the Mesa Baptist Church with interment following in the Thornhill Cemetery, Ginn Funeral Home in charge.
Lee, who died yesterday morning near his residence in the Mesa Community, was caretaker of the Tylertown Methodist Church. He was the son of the late W. A. Lee and Julia Rushing Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Otera Johnson Lee; three brothers, Floyd Lee, Cullen Lee and Bilbo Lee, all of Tylertown; three sisters, Mrs. John Swan of Osyka, Mrs. Clarence Greer of Pascagoula, and Mrs. O. C. Holiday of Tylertown; 20 nephews and nieces.

JAMES VARDAMAN LEE died at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1985 at Seventh Ward Hospital, Hammond. He was 74, a native of Tylertown, Miss., and resident of Killian.
Religious services were held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula. Burial in Springfield Cemetery.
Survived by wife, Mrs. Ruth DeArmond Lee, Killian; four daughters, Mrs. Noah (Virginia) Hano Jr. and Mrs. Clinton (Susie) Winburn, both of Springfield, Mrs. Don C. (Linda) Adams, Ponchatoula and Cathy Lee, Killian; a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James V. (Edelgard) Lee Jr., Bossier City; a sister, Bessie Medlin, Metairie; two brothers, Percy Lee, Killian and Robert E. Lee, Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, Randolph and Fannie Lee; a sister, Louise Lee Baham and two brothers, Leon and Felder Lee.

Mrs. Carrie Eunia Greer, 82, 1806 Parsley St., Pascagoula, died Tuesday, May 28, 1985. Mrs. Greer was born March 26, 1903, in Tylertown, and had been a resident of Pascagoula since 1941. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula.
Survivors are two brothers, Cullen Lee and Floyd Lee, both of Tylertown; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Nell Holiday and Mrs. Mamie Swan, both of Tylertown.
Funeral service will be today, May 29, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of O'Bryant Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m.
Interment will be Jackson County Memorial Park.

Joseph Cullen Lee
Funeral services for Joseph Cullen Lee, 85, were held March 21, 1992, at Capps Chapel with Rev. Robert Jones officiating.
He died March 18, 1992, at Baton Rouge, La.
He was born July 22, 1906, at Old Pike County, son of Wyatt Alexander Lee and Julia C. Rushing Lee. He married Annie Brister Lee who survives him.
Other survivors include two daughters, Virginia Ford and Marie Alexander, both of Baton Rouge, La.; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; five great-grandsons; one brother, Floyd Lee; one sister, Ora Nell Holiday. One daughter, Clara Aline Lee, preceded him in death.
He was a member of Mesa Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were John R. Belgard, Josh Belgard, George Taylor, Scott Whisenant, David Montoya, Jace Breeland.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Capps Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mamie Swan
Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Lee Swan, 84 were Monday at Capps Chapel with Rev. Troy Bankston officiating. She died March 29 in Tylertown Extended Care Center where she resided with her husband, John S. Swan who survives her.
Mrs. Swan was born July 6, 1901, in Old Pike County, daughter of W. A. and Julia Rushing Lee. She was preceded in death by one son, John Louis Swan, two brothers, Dewitt and Bilbo Lee and one sister, Carrie Greer.
Survivors include five sons, George Swan and Joe Swan, both of Tylertown, Ray Swan of McComb, Pat Swan of Starkville, and Bob Swan of Fort Worth, Texas; four daughters, Julia Davis of Tylertown, Mary Ellen Gourneau of Church Point, La., Sarah Rose Gourneau of Pierre, S.D., and Janice Fay McCoy of Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Cullen Lee and Floyd Lee, both of Tylertown; one sister Oranelle Holiday of Tylertown; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
PALLBEARERS were Douglas Dillon, Floyd Tarver, Vernon Ginn, Kent Luter, Dean Ray Greer and Charles Ray Carney.
Burial was in Rushing Cemetery with Capps Funeral Home in charge.
