Spiers Henry [Male] b. 1824 Scotland - d. 11 JAN 1888 Grong Grong,nsw

Henry and Margaret Spiers arrived in Victoria on the "Victory"
from Scotland / Lanarkshire on 19 July 1849.
On Janet Spier's birth cerificate it says that
Henry was a farmer at Iaramiah near Corowa at that time.
(Karen Plunkett does not know if Iaramiah was the name of a property
or a place.)
Janet Spiers is the sister of Karen Plunkett's great grandfather John Spiers.

Janet married Alexander Seberry (contractor) on 4 October 1884 at Grong Grong,
+near Narrandera. Both are listed as living at Grong Grong.

Graham and Maureen Borwick confirm that Duncan Spiers married
Lydia Clark and the family moved to New Zealand.
They married in August 1894 and Duncan is listed as a farmer at Grong
Grong, and Lydia at that time was living with her sister at Grong Grong.


Captain Moonlight the bushranger was caught at the McGlede's house in a
gun fight with the police at Wantabadgery (information supplied by Grahame Borwick).
