October 4, 1735. At the request of William Spires the following deed of gift was recorded October the twentieth day Anno Domini seventeen hundred and thirty five.
To all Christian people to whom these presents shall come I, Grace Ramsey, widow send greeting. Know ye that I, Grace Ramsey of Prince George's County in the Province of Maryland, for and in consideration of the love, good will, and affection which I have and do bear towards my loving grandchildren Phebe, Patience, and Asenath Spiers, daughters to William Spiers and Mary his wife, have given and granted and by these do freely, clearly, and absolutely give and grant unto Phebe Spiers two cows and calves marked with a cross and a slit in the right ear as her proper goods and chattel forever;
and I also give and grant to Patience Spiers two cows and calves marked with a cross and two slits in the left ear the right ear being whole and I also give her one featherbed as her proper goods and chattels forever;
and I also give and grant unto Asenath Spiers one cow and calf marked with a cross and a slit in the left ear and an upper half in the right ear as her proper goods and chattels forever.
In witness whereof I have hear unto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of September Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred thirty and five.

Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of John Johnston, John Thompson.
On the back of which deed of gift was thus endorsed.
October 4, 1735. Then came Grace Ramsey, party to the within deed and acknowledged the same together with the cattle and bed therein mentioned according to act of assembly before us.
