Gabbett William [Male] b. 1680 Caherline - d. 1727

This eldest son, William Gabbett, of Caherline, born 1680, died 1717, succeeded his cousin John, of Rathjordan, and married first-- Mary, daughter of Thomas Spiers, of Baggotstown, Co Limerick, (and by her, who died 22nd November, 1717,) had-- 1. William his heir ;
2. Thomas Spiers, of Trivoli, Glanmere, Co Cork,
3. John, of Anaglin, Co Cork.

William Gabbett of Caherline, married secondly, March 2nd, 1719, Anne, daughter of Benjamin Frend, of Ballynehy, Co. Tipperary;

And married thirdly, August 29th, 1721, Mary, daughter of William Freeman, of Castle Corr, Co. Cork, and had by her one son, Joseph, general in the army and colonel of the 66th Regiment, who married Alethea, daughter and heiress of Seymour Richmond, of Sparsholt, Co. of Berks, and died S.P. November 25th, 1794;
Will proved 19th November 1818, he died 1792, leaving his estate of Sparsholt to his brother, William's son Joseph, of High Park.
