On page 31 of the above book, under the title 'BOSTOCK LINE', appears the following entry:-

"1 OSMER, owner ofShipbrook, Davenham, Bostock, Audlem, Crewe,
all in Chester (Cheshire) County, England, as entered in
the "Domesday Book," 1080 A. D., as having held these
places at the time ofthe Conquest by William of Normandy.

5 SIR GILBERT, (Cheshire Visitations, 1580 A. D.)
or SIR ADAM, (Ormerod's "History of Cheshire", Ed. 1882)
6 WILLIAM, (or RANDLE, RANNULPH), married Margaret, daughter
of Warren Vernon, Baron of Shipbrook."
7 WARREN, (WARINE), married Hawise, (Havissa),Countess of
Lincoln, in her own right, widow of Sir Roger de Quinci,
and daughter of Hugh Kevelioc, Palatine Earl of Chester.

8 SIR GILBERT(or HENRY) married Elinor, daughter of Robert,
Poole, of Cheshire.
9 SIR WILLIAM. Lord of Bostoc, Knight,(Tem. Henry III. 1216-1272),
married (1) Elizabeth, daughter of James, Lord Audley and Heleigh;
(2) Amice, a widow.
He was one of the jurors who tried David, brother of Llewellyn,
Prince of Wales.
10 SIR EDWARD, (or PHILIP), Lord of Bostoc, occurs Hen. III. 44 and 54 (1260 and 1270),
married Maria, daughter of Matthew de Vernon."
11 SIR ADAM (VII), Lord Bostok, Knight, occurs as living 3 and 15 Edw. II. (1310 and 1322)
and 7 Edw. III (1334), married Joan, daughter of William be Brereton.
12 SIR WILLIAM (VIII), Knight, of Bostok, occurs as living 29 (1356), 13(1363)
and 45 (1372) Edw.III., married, (1) _____, daughter and sole heiress
of William de Mulotn,Lord Multon, (2) Joan Norreys, widow of Sir
Thomas Danyers, Knight, of Tabley.
He was appointed (30 Sep, 1361), Seneschal of Frodsham, and
in 1366, Seneschal to the Abbot of Vale Royal.
13 SIR ADAM (IX), occurs 1344, Inq. p.m. 47 Edw. III (1374),
married Margaret,daughter of Sir John de Wettenhale,
Lord of Wettenhale and Acton.
14 ADAM (X), Lord of Bostock, born Aug. 15, 1363, died 1415.
Aet. 6, 43 Edw. III. (1370);Aet. 21. 8 Rich. II. (1384).
Inq. p. m. 2 Hen. V. (1415). He fought at the battle of
Shrewsbury. Married Jonet, daughter of Sir Henry de
Bradshaw, Lord of Bradshaw.
15 SIR RALPH (XI), Knight, Lord of Bostock,
Aet 23, 2 Hen. V. (1415); Inq. p. m. 6 Hen. V. (1419).
Married Isabel, daughter of William de Lawton, of Wigland.
He fought under King Henry V. at Agincourt.
16 SIR ADAM (XII), Knight, Lord of Bostock;
Aet. 21, 11 Hen. VI. (1433).
Inq. p. m. 15 Edw. IV. (1476), born 1412, died 1460.
Married Elizabeth,daughter of Sir Hugh Venables,
and sister of of Sir Richard de Venables, also
sister of Joan Cotton, and co-heiress of he nephew,
Hugh Venables, Baron of Kynderton.
17 WILLIAM, (4th son), married (1) Elizabeth Done;
(2) Alice Patrick
(3) Ellen, daughter of Adam Bostok."
